A person died in custody at the Mangalatar Police Station located in Roshi Rural Municipality on December 15, 2025.
Ishwar Karki, Police Inspector at Mangalatar Police Station, informed that Dudharaj Tamang, 21 from Roshi Rural Municipality-12 was found hanging in the toilet while in custody.
Dudharaj had been arrested by the police on December 14 while on his way to the district court for a hearing and was kept in custody for further investigation.
The deceased was also a defendant in various cases filed at the Kavrepalanchok District Court. Previously, he had been arrested by Temal Rural Municipality for allegedly abducting a woman along with her child. Subsequently, he was absconding in a theft case. Based on information that he had committed thefts in various locations, the police had been searching for him.
