On December 11, 2025, the police arrested Krishna Bahadur Thapa, 38 also known as Krishna Bahadur Bhujel, from Rampur, Palpa district, currently residing in Pokhara Metropolitan City-10, Ramghat, and Hariram Burlakoti, 32 from Tripura Sundari Rural Municipality-1, Dhading district, currently residing in Pokhara Metropolitan City-11, Phulbari, on charges of killing Ramesh Sunar, 60 originally from Pokhara Metropolitan City-16 and currently living in Pokhara Metropolitan City-10, Ramghat.
According to Kaski Police Chief SP Navin Karki, the accused allegedly killed Sunar on December 10 after an altercation while under the influence of intoxicants by striking him on the head with a stone.
The post-mortem of the body was conducted the next day at the Paschimanchal Community Hospital. The police have filed a killing case against the accused in the District Court and, after extending the investigation period by five days, are continuing their investigation, the District Police Office stated.
