Police arrested Sachin Jha,25, and a 15-year-old boy both of the Dewan Pokhari, municipality-3 on 9 December for the charge of killing Roshni Jha,28 of Kataiya Chaur, Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-4. The police stated that her husband Prashant Kumar Mishra, 34 had already been arrested on 30 November and an investigation is ongoing.
On 30 November, the family of the deceased filed a complaint at the District Police Office against her husband Prashant and nephew Sachin, stating that Roshni had been killed on the evening of 27 November. The victim’s mother said they went to the police seeking justice, accusing the victim’s husband of trying to claim it was a suicide and conducting the funeral without informing the family.
