Fifteen Arrested in Arson and Looting Case

Police arrested 15 people for vandalizing, setting fire, and looting government offices during the Gen-Z protest in Sindhuli on 9 September. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Laldhwaj Subedi, they were arrested based on collected evidence, and the identities of additional 15 individuals have been identified, for whom the District Court has issued arrest warrants. They have been arrested on charges of vandalizing, setting fire to, and looting the District Administration Office, Land Revenue Office, and Kamalamai Municipality-5 Ward Office. The investigation is ongoing under the charge of criminal offense with an extended period.

Among those arrested are: Sujan Shah,20, from Bagmati Municipality-12, Sarlahi, currently residing in Dhurabajar, Kamalamai Municipality-6,Ratna Bahadur Shrestha,36, from Kamalamai Municipality-8, currently residing in Anamnagar, Kamalamai-6, Faud Thapa Magar,47, from Kamalamai-5, and Sujan Gautam, 30, the director of Gautam Pharma Care, originally from Tripatan Rural Municipality-4, currently residing in Kamalamai-6.

Additionally, police also arrested Pappu Kumar Shah,25, from Ramnagar Rural Municipality-6, Sarlahi, currently residing in Dhurabajar, Kamalamai-6, Raban Chaudhary,27, from Kamalamai-5, Kshitij Shrestha, 39 from Kamalamai-12, Devanandan Shah,22 from Sitamadi, India, currently residing in Dhurabajar, Kamalamai-6, Sabin Lama,24, from Kamalamai-4, Dor Bahadur Sarki,23, from Kamalamai-12, Raju Mahara from Gaushala Municipality-2, Mahottari, currently residing in Kamalamai-5,  Hom Bahadur Lungeli,25, from Tripatan Rural Municipality-11, Sindhuli, Om Bahadur Khatri,34, from Kamalamai-8. Kamal Pakhrin,30, from Kamalamai-8, and Harichan Sonar,35, from Bardibas Municipality-14, Mahottari, currently residing in Kamalamai-6, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Subedi.
