Two Arrested for Vandalizing Police Office and Looting Police Bullets During Protest

On November 12 police arrested two individuals who vandalized the Area Police Office, Birtamod and looted police gun bullets on September 9. Among the arrested are Israp Khatun,27, of Bahradashi Rural Municipality-4, Chakchaki, currently residing in a rented house in Birtamod Municipality-2, and Bikas Tudu,22, of Birtamod Municipality-2. They were arrested from Ramchowk, Birtamod Municipality-2, according to DSP Khagendra Bahadur Khadka of the District Police Office.

From the accused Khatun’s room, the police recovered 28 rounds of bullets for an SLR rifle and 16 rounds for an INSAS rifle. During the search, they also seized a police baton, a brass plate, brass water vessel, and a brass glass, as per DSP Khadka. DSP Khadka added that investigations revealed that during the Gen-Z protest on September 9, Bikas Tudu had seized police gun bullets from the Anarmani Area Police Office and kept them in Khatun’s room.

The police stated that both accused were arrested from Birtamod Municipality-2 by a team from the  Narcotic Control Bureau, Kakadvitta, and the Anarmani Area Police Office.
