Three inmates who had escaped from various prisons across the country were arrested by the Kapilvastu Police from different locations after November 4. According to Kapilvastu District Prison Information Officer Reshamlal Bhusal, those arrested include a 45-year-old man from Shivaraj Municipality-4 accused of incest rape, Maniram Pasi from Shivaraj Municipality-10 accused in a killing case, and Dharmendra Yadav from Kapilvastu Municipality-4 accused in a rape case.
One of the escapees was arrested in Rukum East and has been placed in the Rukum East Jail. According to Bhusal, the arrested individual are Ajay Gupta of Krishnanagar Municipality-4, an accused of rape. The jail administration has stated that 129 inmates who escaped from Kapilvastu Jail are still at large.
