Police arrested Bijay Neupane, 50, from Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan City-12, for allegedly being involved in vandalism, arson, and looting at the Dang District Court and Hotel Maline during the Gen-Z protest, on September 9. DSP Chakrabahadur Shah of the Dang District Police Office stated that Bijay Neupane was arrested on November 10 for allegedly joining protesters in committing arson and vandalism at the Dang District Court, as well as at Hotel Mala INN, where food supplies were also looted. Neupane has been taken into custody for further investigation.
The police also reported that on November 9, nine other individuals had already been arrested for allegedly setting fire to and vandalizing government offices in the district, and investigations into their actions are ongoing.
