INSEC Karnali Province Office provided financial assistance of Rs 7,000 to Rita Kandel,33,of Lekbesi Municipality-1 on November 7 to support her in pursuing legal proceedings.
The victim had submitted an application to INSEC on October 9, seeking support to file a case at the District Court for divorce after her husband, Lilaram Paudel, abused her and evicted her from the house, abandoning claims for food expenses. The Human Rights Help Desk meeting held on November 6 decided to provide financial assistance for this purpose. Narayan Subedi, Coordinator of INSEC Karnali Province Office, stated that the assistance was provided to facilitate transportation, photocopying, and court fees while attending the court.
