Gangai Sunar, 35, of Birendranagar Municipality-11, died on the morning of November 7 while in custody at the Surkhet District Police Office. Sunar, who had been arrested on August 19 with five grams of illegal drugs, was found dead while sleeping. After this the police took him to the hospital at 6 am, according to DSP Mohan Jung Budhathapa of the District Police Office, Surkhet. However, the doctors declared him dead on arrival. DSP Budhathapa stated that the deceased had a history of diabetes and high blood pressure.
