The principal of Shree Bhuvaneshwari Basic School, Anjana Bhandari, was injured after being beaten inside the school premises by the School Management Committee Chairperson, Khamsung Tamang on November 4, 2025.
Dable Lama, a local informed that during a meeting of the School Management Committee, the chairperson assaulted Principal Bhandari, accusing her of not fully complying with his instructions.
The teacher sustained serious injury to her eye due to the assault. The injured teacher received treatment at Nawalpur Hospital and has filed a complaint at the Area Police Office, Nawalpur, seeking legal action.
Protesting the incident, the Nepal Teachers’ Federation Indrawati Rural Municipality Committee issued a statement on November 5, urging the concerned authorities to take legal action against the chairperson responsible for assaulting the teacher.
