Police re-arrested Lalbabu Shah, 39, from Ranighat, Birgunj Metropolitan City-10 on the evening of 28 October. Shah had escaped from Nakhu Jail in Lalitpur, during the Gen-Z protest.
According to Parsa police, the Lalitpur District Court had sentenced Shah to two years and one month in jail along with a fine of Rs 105,000 in a drug-related case. Based on information that Shah had been hiding in Birgunj, the police arrested him from his house, said Hari Bahadur Basnet, spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Parsa.
