During the Gen-Z Movement, Ram Charan Chaudhary, 23 from Guleriya Municipality—5, who had escaped from Naubasta Jail in Nepalgunj, was arrested by Bardiya police on the afternoon of October 29, 2025 at the District Administration Office.
Chaudhary, who had been sentenced to imprisonment in a rape case, was arrested while coming to obtain a copy of his citizenship with a recommendation from the Ward Office, according to Bimal Gurung, Administrative Officer at the District Administration Office. He stated, “The escaped inmate Chaudhary has been arrested and sent to the Bardiya District Police Office. Chaudhary was arrested on the 50th day since he escaped from jail.”
