Police arrested Rewat Thapa, 65 of Mahalaxmi Municipality–4, Chanua, on October 28 on charges of raping an 11-year-old girl.
According to police, the girl’s mother filed a complaint at the District Police Office on October 24 , stating that the accused had raped her daughter on July 20.
Based on the complaint, police arrested the accused for investigation, said SP Sharad Kumar Thapa Kshetri of the District Police Office.
Police filed a rape case against the accused at the District Court on October 28.
The victim underwent a medical examination at the District Hospital on October 24.
