Phulmaya GC, 76, was fatally beaten by Min Bahadur Bishwakarma,37, of Jhadeva, Mathagadhi Rural Municipality-4, Palpa on the night of October 20. According to police, Phulmaya’s husband, Prem Bahadur GC,82, was also injured in the attack. He was initially taken to Lumbini Medical College and later referred to Lumbini City Hospital, Butwal, for further treatment, said DSP Hom Prakash Chaudhary of the District Police Office, Palpa.
Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team from Matha Police Post and the District Police Office arrested Bishwakarma the same night while he was hiding at his home. Locals reported that a sharp weapon was also used in the incident. Police said further investigation into the case is underway.
