Police have arrested Ishwar Bagale, 30 of Molung Rural Municipality–1 on October 9, 2025 on charges of defaming a 24-year-old woman using social media.
According to police, Bagale allegedly uploaded obscene photos of the woman on Facebook, defaming her character and blackmailing her. The victim had filed a complaint against him at the District Police Office on the same day.
Based on the complaint, police arrested the accused for further investigation, said Inspector Bijay Karki of the District Police Office.
Police have filed a case against Bagale at the District Court under the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008, and legal proceedings have been initiated.
