On 22 September, 2025 a complaint was filed at the Area Police Office, Dhanushadham against 22-year-old Rajesh Mahara of Dhanushadham Municipality–1 on the charge of attempting to rape an 18-year-old girl. According to Police Inspector Ganesh Khanal of the Area Police Office, Dhanushadham, the accused has absconded since the incident, and a search operation is underway.
The health examination of the victim girl was carried out on 25 September at the Provincial Hospital, Janakpur.
