The District Court of Pyuthan has ordered three years’ imprisonment to Haribhaiya Magar, 29, of Sarumarani Rural Municipality-3 for sexually abusing a 30-year-old woman. The verdict was given on November 11, 2021.
The decision was taken by the bench of Judge Shyamlal Ghimire, informed Officer Tulbahadur Gurung.
Gurung also shared that the victim was raped on September 6, 2021, and the complaint was filed on September 7 at the District Police Office. The accused was then arrested from his house on September 7 and a case of rape was filed against him on September 15. The case was later converted to Attempt to Rape during the process of investigation and the verdict was given by the court.
The health checkup of the victim was conducted on September 7, 2021.
