Chitwan District Court has sentenced a 20-year imprisonment to a 40-year-old father for the rape of his 13-year-old daughter.
According to District Court’s Registrar Ishwar Acharya, Judge Dilliram Aryal imposed the decision on December 17, 2022 for the crime of incestual rape.
The victim’s mother had filed a complaint at the District Police Office Chitwan on May 31, alleging that the incident took place on May 2, 2022.
The police arrested the accused on May 30. The accused from bench of Justice Keshav Adhikari approved the pre-trial detention of the accused on June 20.
The victim’s medical examination was done on July 1 at Bharatpur Hospital.
