
The 16-day long international campaign against gender-based violence has begun on November 25. The slogan of this year is “Orange the World: End Violence against Women Now!” Every year this campaign is celebrated from November 25 to December 10.
The General Assembly of the United Nations Organization decided to celebrate November 25 as the Day against Gender-Based Violence after which the campaign was celebrated worldwide. In Nepal, the campaign started in the year 1997.

According to Morang Representative Arjun Darji, INSEC along with other organizations have started a morning rally has been organized in Biratnagar to initate the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence with the participation of various organizations including INSEC and the Ministry of Social Development.
The morning rally started from the District Administration Office and turned into a corner assembly in front of the Ministry of Social Development. Minister for Social Development Jayaram Yadav said that it was necessary for all to launch a campaign against violence against women from their respective places.

According to Udaypur Representative Sujata Dhungana, the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence has been launched led by more than 24 social organizations including INSEC. The campaign was launched by province MP Ambika Thapa.
The morning rally was taken out by circling the district headquarters Gaighat Bazaar. The participants in the rally displayed posters with various slogans.

According to Khotang Representative Taranath Phuyal, the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence has been organized by various organizations including INSEC. The campaign was started with a morning rally.
Chief District Officer Phanindra Dahal, DPP Umesh Lamsal and representatives of various organizations were present in the morning rally.

According to Sankhuwasabha Representative Bhawin Karki, the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence has been launched under the leadership of civil society organizations including INSEC.
During the campaign, INSEC has been working to end all kinds of incidents against humanity by coordinating and cooperating with the stakeholders in the district. Stakeholders have been informed about the incidents related to women and children recorded by INSEC.
Khandbari Municipality also organized the campaign with the slogan of this year. The morning rally initiated from the Naya Bazaar with the participation of various organizations.
The rally was held with awareness banners and placards, said Sarada Nepal, Chief of Women and Children Section of Khandbari Municipality. Chief of the District Coordination Committee Suman Shakya, Chief District Officer Nurhari Khatiwada and Deputy Chief of Khandbari Municipality Degeswari Shrestha were present at the rally.

According to Okhaldhunga Representative Saraswati Baniya, the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence has been started by putting up awareness-raising banners on violence reduction in the major market areas and offices including the district headquarters.
According to Ilam representative Babita Mainali, the local levels of the district have launched various programs to reduce all forms of violence against women.
INSEC will be coordinating and cooperating in the campaign against women at the local level.
