Constituent Assembly member Kahiraj Dahal expressed that although some reforms were needed in the implementation of the constitution, the achievements of the past five years were encouraging.

In a conversation with INSEC Online, Dahal said that there was an improvement in the practical aspects of the implementation of the constitution, adding that there was still a need for democratization in political parties.
Dahal said that the implementation of the constitution would not be strong without the internal management and democratization of the parties as the political forces would make the constitution alive.
According to him, stronger the party democracy, faster the implementation and better will be its result.
Speaking to INSEC Online on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the promulgation of the new constitution, he stressed on the need for good governance so that the people can feel it.
‘The new constitution was promulgated through the Constituent Assembly because the previous constitution did not have the ownership of the people. This constitution is considered good because it ensures the possible way forward by correcting the differences in the constitution in terms of necessity, justification, and relativity. This constitution has the capacity to assimilate variability,” he said.
