District Police Office has arrested Dan Bahadur Rokaya, 25, of Hima Rural Municipality-3 from Airport Chowk of Surkhet on August 21, 2021. He was arrested on the charge of abducting a 10-month old infant.
Inspector Kanak Bahadur Shahi told INSEC that Rokaya has confessed that he took the infant and handed him to an unknown person.
The family of the infant had filed a complaint at the District Police Office on August 20 informing that the infant was abducted on August 19.
DSP Danbahadur Thapa told INSEC that the incident is very serious and sensitive hence investigation will be done from a different perspective.
He further informed that the accused is being prepared to be brought to Jumla from Surkhet.
