Arghakhanchi District Court has sentenced Saran Bahadur Nepali, 24, of Sandhikharka Municipality–2, Rubdi, to one month in prison for sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl.
According to Deputy Clerk Shash Bahadur Pun, the bench of Judge Shivalal Pandey on March 23 convicted the accused of sexual abuse and imposed a one-month prison term, a fine of Rs. 10,000, and Rs. 30,000 as compensation to the victim.
The victim’s family had filed a complaint at the District Police Office, Sandhikharka, on July 26, reporting the incident that occurred the previous day. The police arrested the accused on Shrawan 10 and presented him in court on August 17, after which he was released on Rs. 100,000 bail on August 18 following the court’s order.
The victim underwent a medical examination on July 26 at Arghakhanchi District Hospital, Sandhikharka.
