Police arrested Buddha Bahadur Majhi, 22, of Lamachaur, Bhirkot Municipality-6. Syangja on June 1, on charges of raping a 16-year-old girl.
The victim’s family filed a complaint at the Area Police Office, Butwal, on June 2, stating that the accused raped the victim on June 1, after luring her by suggesting they go visit Butwal.
The victim underwent a medical examination on June 2 at Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal.
