Police arrested Dhan Bahadur Giri, 42, of Mahalaxmi Municipality-6, Guth, on April 15 on charges of raping a 13-year-old girl with speech disability.
The victim’s family filed a complaint at the District Police Office on April 15, accusing Giri of raping the victim on April 14. According to SP Sarat Kumar Thapa of the DPO, the accused was arrested for investigation on the basis of the complaint filed by the victim’s family.
The victim underwent a medical examination on April 16 at the district hospital in Dhankuta.
