Police arrested Kasim Alija, 30, of Lamkichuha Municipality-9, Sonpur, on April 7 on charges of raping a 27-year-old woman.
According to Ram Prasad Chaudhary, the ward chairperson of Lamkichuha Municipality-9, the victim’s family filed a complaint on April 7 at the Area Police Station.
The investigation is ongoing following the complaint made by the victim’s family, according to DSP Nabin Raj Budhathoki.
The victim underwent a medical examination on April 8 at Tikapur Hospital, Tikapur.
