Heartfelt Condolence
We are grieved by the death of senior advocate Basudev Dhungana at the age of 82 today morning. At this time of sorrow, we express our condolences to the bereaved family.
His contributions to Nepal’s judicial sector while he was Minister for Law, Chairperson of Nepal Bar Association and member of Judicial Council will last forever. He was Chairperson of the Election Observation Citizen Committee 1987. The committee had started election observation in Nepal. Also member of the “Committee to find Missing Persons during the Reinstatement of Democracy-1990”, Dhungana was always committed towards human rights movement of Nepal.
