The district court has ordered to conduct PCR test before sending the accused of a rape case to the Juvenile Rehabilitation Home.
Considering the growth of corona infection, a bench of District Judge Hemant Rawal has ordered the police to conduct a mandatory PCR test on the 16-year-old accused before sending him to Hetauda Juvenile Rehabilitation Home for judicial custody.
“The PCR test conducted by the police on July 25 showed a negative result for the accused. From that time until August 18, it does not appear that he is corona is free; therefore it has been instructed to conduct a second PCR test of the accused.
If the test results are positive, Judge Rawal has ordered to send the child to the rehabilitation only with discharge paper after receiving treatment at the government hospital from the government’s expense. It has also been ordered to keep him in the police’s child cell until the test is over.
Similarly, the police have been further ordered to file a statement in the court through the District Public Prosecutor’s Office after the prohibition was lifted in the district.
The parents of the victim had lodged a complaint at the District Police Office, Chitwan on July 28 accusing the 16-year-old boy of raping their six-year-old girl daughter.
