Police have arrested 22 years old Manoj Tamang of Ramechhap Municipality-8 on November 6 on charge of raping 47 years old mentally retarded woman on November 4.
Police said that the victim is verbally and intellectually impaired. The victim sustained bruises all over her body and police suspected that she was even attempted to murder by the accused after rape.
Police said that Tamang was arrested previously in various charges and he is a drug addict.
The victim underwent a health checkup at District Hospital of Ramechhap according to the police.
