A friendly women’s Volleyball competition has been held in between government and non-government organization of Jumla to mark 107th International Women’s Day on March 6 with the slogan of “Basis for women’s respect: skilled hands and independence,”.
The volleyball competition was organized in coordination with Sub-regional office of the National Human Rights Commission, INSEC, Women and Children Office, the District Sports Development Committee, District Police Office, and Mountain Today.
Supervisor of the Women and Children Office and team leader of government players, Bindu Kunwar said, the competition is held to minimize disputes within the women and with objective to take part in judicial fight for the women’s right.
Competitor from Non-governmental organization Maya Nagarkoti stated that the competition helps a lot to maintain harmony with one another.
According to National Human Rights Commission sub- regional office, human right assistant Rajendra Neupane- the participants will be provided with letter of appreciation on formal program on Women’s day March 8.
