Deputy Mayor Sumuna Shrestha of Panchkhapan Municipality in Sankhuwasabha filed a complaint at the District Administration Office on June 19, alleging that she was subjected to mistreatment.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred while she was on her way to attend a meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee on June 19. She alleged that construction entrepreneur Dawa Sherpa of Panchkhapan Municipality–7 mistreated her while she was walking through a forest area between Khaptuwa Ukhubari and Khekuwa Khola in Ward No. 4 of the municipality.
The victim stated that the accused, who was riding a motorcycle with registration number Province 1-02-001 Ba 3092, stopped her, snatched the motorcycle key, behaved in an inhumane manner, and hurled abuses in a disorderly and aggressive way before taking away the key. She said the mistreatment occurred while she was traveling on a government motorcycle
