A 16-year-old boy who was abducted from Narayangarh, Chitwan District, on June 15, 2026, was rescued by police from Kathmandu on June 16, 2026.
According to Chitwan Police Chief SP Rameshwar Poudel, a group of six individuals transported the boy in a vehicle bearing an Indian registration plate, held him captive in a hotel in Kathmandu, and demanded money from his family.
On charges of involvement in the abduction, a team from the Crime Investigation Office, Teku, arrested Sujit Kumar, Golu Kumar, Bikki Kumar, Mohammad Sahid, and Golu Kumar, all from Bihar, India, on June 16, 2026.
