Police arrested Ramesh Thada Magar, 24, of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City–2 for allegedly beating and abusing a 21-year-old woman while threatening her with a sharp weapon.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Dipak Shrestha, a video showing the accused allegedly beating the woman with a khukuri after luring her under the pretext of offering work three months ago was made public on Facebook on June 16, 2026. Following the video’s release, the Area Police Office Tulsipur arrested the suspect from his residence on the night of June 16 and launched an investigation.
SP Shrestha further informed that police also arrested Jivraj Khatri, 21, of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City–2, who was present at the house with the accused, and have begun investigating him as well. Police also recovered narcotic substances from the accused during the operation.
