Two Arrested for Misbehaving with Hari Khetan Multiple Campus Chief

Two individuals, Dilip Kumar Prajapati (Pandit), 29, and Deblal Thakur, 40,  have been arrested on charges of misbehaving with Kishori Rai, 48, chief of Hari Khetan Multiple Campus located in Birgunj Metropolitan City–10, inside the campus premises on May 14, 2026.

On the same day, Khetan, a member of the campus management committee, filed a complaint at the District Police Office alleging that a group of campus employees and teachers smeared black soot on him, dragged him around, and abused him inside the campus premises. He stated that although five individuals were named in the complaint, only two have been arrested so far.

Parsa Deputy Superintendent of Police Hari Bahadur Basnet said that police are searching for the remaining accused. Teachers and staff of the community campus, Hari Khetan, had been protesting for the past year, alleging interference by the management committee and attempts to privatize the institution. After the campus administration decided to terminate the contract services of Lalkishor Prasad Patel, Ravindra Kumar Yadav, Pooja Gupta, and Dilip Kumar Pandit, effective from May 4, teachers and employees began padlocking the campus and staging sit-ins in protest against the decision.
