The Disabled Persons Federation, Koshi Province, has demanded that the Koshi Provincial Government formulate an act and policy related to the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities.
Submitting a memorandum to Koshi Province Minister for Social Development Ram Prasad Mahato on May 8, 2026 the Disabled Persons Federation, Koshi Province, made the demand for the formulation of an act and policy related to the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities.

A 37-point demand has also been submitted to the provincial government to include provisions for the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities in the upcoming budget. The Federation submitted the memorandum with 37 suggestions through the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers.
The memorandum urges prioritization of education, health, employment, rehabilitation, accessible infrastructure, and social security.
It also demands concessions in public transportation, free health treatment, assistive devices, resource classes, scholarships, and the expansion of skills development and self-employment programs.
