Police have arrested an additional two individuals in the case relating to the killing of Srijana Buda, 22, of Nepaljung Sub-Metropolitan City-12, Koreanpur.
Police arrested Rahamat Ali Dhapali alias Jhabbar, 47, and a 20-year-old youth on April 13 at the Nepal-India Border, Jamunha, Nepaljung Sub-Metropolitan-15.
Srijana Budha had been living in a live-in relationship with Mohammad Arif Dhapali, 24, of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City–12. The victim’s family filed a complaint with the police on March 29, alleging that she was murdered that night and, in an attempt to conceal her identity, her body was set on fire and dumped on a road in Koreanpur.
Earlier, the police had already arrested the main accused, Mohammad Arif Dhapali, his 46-year-old mother, and his 25-year-old sister on March 29, and a 10-year-old girl on April 7.
Police stated that further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
