A complaint has been filed at the Kadarbona Area Police Office against Maheshwar Prasad Yadav, 45, Kundan Yadav, 21, and Dharmadev Yadav, 30, of Laxmipur, Surunga Municipality–3, on March 18, alleging the disappearance of a 14-year-old girl.
According to the victim’s family, the girl had been living at Maheshwar Prasad Yadav’s house as a domestic worker for about seven years. When she returned home during Holi, physical changes were noticed, and upon examination, she was found to be approximately seven months pregnant.
Following the incident, on March 15 and 16, local meetings were held in the village, during which Ward Member Badri Yadav allegedly attempted to suppress the case and pressured the family. The family suspects that Maheshwar has taken the girl out of contact, raising concerns that she has been made to disappear. The District Police Office, Saptari, stated that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
