Citizenship Issued in Mother’s Name for the First Time in Bhojpur

The District Administration Office of Bhojpur has issued citizenship in the mother’s name for the first time. On February 17, Aditya Darnal from Temke Maiyung Rural Municipality–3 was granted citizenship in his mother’s name, informed Chief District Officer Rajan Paudel.

CDO Paudel stated, “Since the father’s identity was unknown and Darnal had not received citizenship, today we provided citizenship in the name of his mother, Basanti Damai.”

According to the records of the District Administration Office, Aditya was issued citizenship with the number 09–01–82–03810. It has been informed that anyone who has completed the necessary procedures and submitted the required documents can come to the administration office to receive citizenship in the mother’s name.

To obtain citizenship, the administration office has stated that the following are required: birth registration, educational certificate, mother’s citizenship, a certificate from the local authority stating that the father is not known, and the filled schedule form. Additionally, the mother must provide a written self-declaration stating that the father’s identity is unknown.
