The winter session of the Koshi Provincial Assembly has begun.
The winter session started on February 8, 2026, five months after arson and vandalism occurred at the Koshi Provincial Assembly Secretariat during a protest by the younger generation on September 9, 2025.
As the Provincial Assembly building was completely damaged by arson and vandalism, the winter session has been conducted at Birendra Auditorium, which is owned by Biratnagar Metropolitan City.
The Provincial Assembly Secretariat, however, has been placed at the Vegetable and Fruit Wholesale Market in Katahari, Morang.
