Police arrested three children aged 14, 15, and 16 on January 23, accused of killing Khimraj Bista, 15 of Junichhande Rural Municipality–4 on January 23.
The children had gone to visit the Pathibhara Temple in Junichhande Rural Municipality–4 and did not return home, after which the deceased’s father filed a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on January 24.
According to DSP Basanta Kumar Sharma of the District Police Office, during the search, the police found the child’s body on January 24 in the forest near Pathibhara Temple. According to him, preliminary investigation revealed that the murder occurred due to a quarrel among the children who had gone to the temple. The accused are being further investigated by the police after the court extended their remand.
The post-mortem of the body was conducted at Garkhakot Primary Health Center on January 24. The family performed the last rites of the body in Junichhande on January 24.
