Over 50 Polling Stations in Jumla Classified as Highly Sensitive

For the House of Representatives election scheduled to be held on March 5, out of 85 polling stations in Jumla, 52 have been classified as highly sensitive, 18 as sensitive, and 15 as normal polling stations, informed DSP Rabin Babu Regmi of the District Police Office, Jumla.

There are a total of 71,739 voters in the district, comprising 34,280 women and 37,459 men, informed Dhan Bahadur Rawal, Computer Operator at the District Election Office, Jumla.

Including two temporary polling stations, there are 110 polling centers across 85 polling stations, informed Narayani Chaulagai, Information Officer at the District Election Office, Jumla.

Pursuant to Section 5 of the House of Representatives Election Act, 2017, effective from January 9, the Election Commission, in consultation with the Judicial Council, has appointed 77 District Judges as Chief Election Officers. Similarly, in accordance with the same provision and in consultation with the Judicial Service Commission, 88 Gazetted Second Class Officers of the Nepal Judicial Service have been appointed as Election Officers.
