Sona Rural Municipality–8 resident, Nagina Devi Mandal, 36 has filed a complaint at the Area Police Office, Gaushala on December 2, 2025, against Paras Yadav, 20 and Ukshi Yadav, 50 of the same locality for allegedly assaulting her on accusations of being a “witch.”
According to the victim, on December 1, 2025, when the buffalo raised at the accused’s home fell ill, they verbally abused and beat her, saying, “You know witchcraft, you tried to kill my buffalo.” Injured from the assault, Nagina received treatment at the Primary Health Centre in Gaushala.
Regarding the incident, Inspector Ramesh Lama of the Area Police Office, Gaushala, stated that an investigation is underway.
