The Election Commission has made public the draft of the proposed Election Code of Conduct for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5, 2026. It has called for suggestions within a week regarding the draft.
To ensure freedom, fairness, transparency, integrity, frugality, and a fear-free environment during the election, the Commission has prepared an initial draft of the code of conduct and published it on its website for feedback.
In a statement issued today by Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, the Commission urged registered political parties, various governmental and non-governmental organizations, citizens, and stakeholders to submit their suggestions on the draft by November 23.
