The Election Commission has published the election schedule for the National Assembly member elections to be held on 25 January 2026. According to the election program approved by the Commission, the voter list will be published on 3 January 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and claims, objections, and complaints regarding the list will be reviewed, with the final voter list published on 6 January 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
According to Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, nominations for candidates will be accepted on 7 January 2026 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, objections to nominations can be filed on 8 January 2026 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and candidates may withdraw their nominations on 11 January 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The final list of candidates will be published on the same day from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Election symbols will be allotted to candidates on 12 January 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The Commission has stated that the election for 18 National Assembly members will take place on 25 January 2026 at the designated polling centers from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
