An attempt was made to attack Harichandra Basnet, Chairperson of Kushe Rural Municipality, Jajarkot District. The police reported that the attack occurred on September 28, 2025 in Chankhila of Jajarkot’s Chedagad Municipality while Basnet was traveling from Kushe to Surkhet.
While trying to protect him from the attacker, two youths accompanying Chairperson Basnet were injured, informed Chief of District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Basant Kumar Sharma. The injured were Navaraj Shahi of Kushe Rural Municipality–4 and Dipendra Singh of Kushe Rural Municipality–7. Sharma stated that since a sharp weapon was used, they sustained injuries to the head and hand.
