Interaction program organized by Women and children service centre along with programme committee on March 8 completed at Palpa, Tansen on the occasion of 107th International Women’s Day.
District Police Office, Senior Police Superintendent Hari Raj Wagle and president of NGO Federation of Palpa, Bhesh Raj Timilsina while addressing the interaction program presented a paper pointing out the social violence that woman suffer.
Chief District Officer, Baburam Gautam stressed the necessity to carry out the various creative campaigns throughout the year rather than once in the occasion of International women’s day. He added, the roles of government and non-governmental organizations are equally important in reducing the violence against women. On the occasion, INSEC Western Regional Coordinator, Shiva Khakurel and women right activist Shobha Shakya along with others speaking at the program stated that women are being victimized from the educated group. Rally, Assembly and interaction program was conducted in coordination with governmental and non-governmental agencies even in rural areas of the district to mark the occasion.
