President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has urged all stakeholders to ensure the future of the children in the dire situation of Corona pandemic.
I would like to draw the attention of all three levels of government bodies, national and international non-governmental organizations, child rights activists, social organizations, civil society and parents to be sensitive in ensuring the future of children in this dire situation of a disaster,” the President said in a statement issued on September 14.
Giving a message on the occasion of National Children’s Day 2077, President Bhandari said that effective implementation of the provisions of national laws and various international treaties, agreements and commitments is an important responsibility of the state to ensure the rights of the child.
This year’s National Children’s Day is being celebrated on September 14 with the slogan ‘Ensuring Child Rights in Disaster, Commitment of All of Us’.
“As it is the birthright of children to get quality education, various initiatives are being taken by all three levels of government, national and international organizations, community sector, media and civil society to make the school a centre of attraction by creating a child-friendly educational environment,” the message said.
