Police arrested Chandra Bahadur Thami, 68, of Kalinchowk Rural Municipality on February 14 on charges of killing his sister-in-law, Deumaya Thami, 51, of Kalinchowk Rural Municipality-5 by attacking her with a Khukuri (knife) and a stone on her head. The victim died on the spot, according to the District Police Office.
The accused absconded right after the incident, and he was arrested at Kalinchowk Rural Municipality-6, Leptung. According to Inspector Shree Ram Timilsina of the District Police Office, the investigation is underway, and the legal proceedings have commenced.
