The body of Manju Paudel Niraula, 35. from Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-2 was found in a suspicious condition in a river under Sardu watershed on 19 November. Her body was found a week after she went missing from her home. DSP Subash Hamal of Itahari Police Station stated that it is not yet confirmed whether she was killed but the condition of the crime scene appears suspicious.
After Manju left her home in Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-2 on 10 November and did not return, her family submitted a written application to Itahari Police Station the same day to report her missing. The police have collected necessary evidence from the scene and sent the body to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, Ghopha, for a post-mortem.
