A prisoner who had escaped from Dadeldhura District Prison during a protest has been arrested by the police from Khodpe, Patan Municipality–8 on April 12.
According to Inspector Baldev Badu of the District Police Office, Baitadi, Ramesh Bista, 34, of Salmari, Patan Municipality–8, who had been serving a sentence in a homicide-related case, was arrested by the police from Jaslekhali of the same municipality–8. He had escaped from Dadeldhura District Prison during the youth-led protest held on September 8 and 9.
The arrested Bista is currently being held at the Khodpe Police Post. Inspector Badu also stated that preparations are underway to send him to Dadeldhura District Prison for further action.
