Fourteen Inmates Who Escaped from Various Jails Arrested in Gorkha

Police arrested 14 inmates in Gorkha who had escaped from various jails across the country during the Gen-Z protests. According to police, the arrested include nine who had fled from Kaski Jail, four from different jails in Kathmandu, and one from Tanahun jail. SP Bharat BK, Chief of the District Police Office, Gorkha, stated that those arrested include Bishal Uparkoti of Siranchowk Rural Municipality-2, who had escaped from Tanahun Jail, and from Kaski Jail, Sonam Dorje Lama, Tenzing Lama, Chewang Lama, and Sonam Gyaljel Lama of Chumnubri Rural Municipality-6, along with Bikram Nepali of Siranchowk Rural Municipality-5.

Police have also arrested the following escapees: Bam Bahadur Shrestha of Palungtar Rural Municipality-1, who fled from Kaski Jail, Babura Nepali of Rainas Municipality-8, Lamjung, Rajesh Bishwas Sunar of Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality-1, Suman Sundas of Chhathar Jorpati Rural Municipality-2, Dhankuta, who escaped from the Central Jail, Bhuvan Tamang of Dhunveshi Rural Municipality-2, Dhading, Samuel Nepali of Palungtar-6, who fled from Sarangkot Child Correctional Home, Kaski, and Susma Magrati of Gorkha-9, who escaped from Sanothimi Child Correctional Home, Bhaktapur. The arrested individuals have been handed over to the respective jail administrations in coordination with the authorities.
